Thank you to Alicia Drummond from The Wellbeing Hub for a brilliant series of engaging talks on bullying and by standing with our Lower and Junior Schools and Year 11 pupils in PSHE on 2 February.

In the thought-provoking talks, Alicia talked through different forms of bullying – from physical and verbal to social and cyber bullying. She explained that every type of bullying is hurtful, intentional and involves an imbalance of power.

She introduced pupils to ‘the OK Corral’ - a way of illustrating how we see ourselves when we compare ourselves with others and the four ‘life positions’ we can take to determine how we interact with others.

Alicia talked about the power of collaboration and said:

“I would argue that nobody in a hierarchy has more value than anyone else. You can’t lead without a team and without every member having equal value.”

Thank you, Alicia, for a fantastic talk which was thought-provoking for pupils across all year groups.

All Alleyn’s pupils, parents and staff have access to The Wellbeing Hub – a trusted source of support designed by experts to meet the social, emotional and educational needs of young people.
