We were delighted to hear from Trinity Laban that the Stretch Dance Company were one of just 12 groups selected to perform in the U. Dance Festival, celebrating excellence in youth dance.
The below piece, choreographed by Miss Demain and performed by Year 12 and 13 Alleyn's dancers, is based on Survivor and will be showcased at Trinity Laban on Sunday 26th February. The judging criteria for entrants was for 'excellent and engaging choreography', 'excellence in performance' and 'dancers taking clear ownership of age-appropriate choreography' so we are so delighted to have been selected!
The U. Dance National Festival is delivered in partnership with One Dance UK, drawing together some of the most innovative and ambitious youth dance work from across the country.
Dancers will participate in workshops with professional Dance artists from Laban on the day and perform in the London showcase in the evening. What an opportunity!

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
