The 125th Edward Alleyn Club Annual Dinner was held on Saturday 19 November. Hosted by the EAC President, Peter Yetzes (Tulley’s 1967).

Hosted at Saddlers' Hall, the dinner formed part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the association between Alleyn's and the Worshipful Company of Saddlers.

The guest speaker was Philip Haslam (Tyson's 1991) who was a Saddlers' Scholar, House Captain and Cricket Captain at Alleyn’s. Philip read History at Oxford before embarking on a career in marketing and business. He is now the Managing Director of Stannah Stairlifts. Philip spoke of his time at Alleyn’s and his gratitude for the support from the Saddler’s Company. He also spoke eloquently about how his career has focussed not only of stats and analytics but also the need to understand how other members of your teamwork and how you can help them.

The dinner was attended by Senior Prefects from the School and School Captain Nan-Yaw brilliantly introduced Senior Deputy Head, Andy Skinnard, who spoke on behalf of the School.

The final event of the night was the installation of the new Club President and Deputy President. Sue Lane, a former member of staff was announced as President. She joined Alleyn's in 1978 as Assistant Mistress in charge of Girls' PE before being made Head of Girls’ PE. Sue then but moved into pastoral positions and became 'Lady Housemaster' of Brown's and Deputy Head of Upper School. The Deputy President is Reno Antoniades (Tulley’s 1984), managing partner of Lee & Thompson and a partner in the firm’s Film, Television & Games Group.
