Our Year 4 children were happy to welcome classes from Lyndhurst and Belham Primary Schools on Wednesday, for our biggest ever Drama Outreach project. All the children rose to the occasion and had a positive experience upon the Seven Seas in our sailor themed workshop! The morning rain couldn't dampen the children's spirits as they brought their imaginations and spirit of collaboration to the day long workshop.
It was quite something to be working with all the children as they moved, sang and created together in our warmup session in the Hall. The groups were mixed and split into three, allowing for new collaborations and friendships to form. We were really proud by everyone's ability and willingness to do work together so nicely- showing much of the schools ROCCK ethos so pleasingly.
After all the children had participated in three different workshop sessions led by theatre practitioners, we all came together in the MCT where the children created a live performance for each other on the stage.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
