As part of our celebrations of our 50-year association with the Worshipful Company of Saddlers, Catrien Coppens, Master Harness Maker, Patrick Burns, now retired Trade Advisor to the Saddlers Company, spoke about their craft, showed examples of their incredible work and then offered pupils the opportunity to work with leather themselves to make their own leather Christmas decoration.

We thank the Saddlers for giving so generously of their time to give the pupils such a rich and rare experience.

Since the 1970s, when the Saddlers began to provide funds for scholarships at Alleyn’s, over 300 pupils have been awarded a Saddlers' Scholarship. More recently, the Company has supported bursary places at Alleyn's, continuing to provide transformative opportunities to pupils at the School.
