The sixth and final Saturday Maths session of this term took place on Saturday, 20 March with lots of learning and plenty of smiling faces.

The live sessions, which recently have been held virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions, are a fantastic opportunity for Year 5 pupils from 12 local Primary Schools to extend their maths skills in a stimulating and fun environment with the help of Alleyn’s Year 11 pupil mentors. The scheme, which is organised through Southwark Community Education Charity (SCEC), continues to be popular with both the Year 5 pupils and Alleyn’s volunteer mentors.

During the final session, the children were joined by Alleyn’s Head, Mrs Lunnon, and the Assistant Head (Co-curricular & Partnerships), Mr Green, to congratulate the children on the brilliant work they have done over the six sessions.

Each pupil was sent a Graduation Certificate to open with their parents at the end of the class to recognise and celebrate the terrific maths they have been learning and practicing each week.

Congratulations to each Year 5 pupils and Year 11 mentors alike for a fantastic effort.
