Wednesday, 3 July saw a spot of healthy fairway rivalry as golfing alumni from the Edward Alleyn Golf Society (EAGS) took on current pupils in the much-anticipated Stapleford match.
Congratulations to all of the alumni and pupil players who played brilliantly. After some tense play, the winners on the day were the EAGS team who won 2 1/2 - 1/2. Representing the team were Mike Froggatt (Brading’s 1978), Paul Selwyn (Brading’s 1965), Michael Robertson (Dutton’s 1979), Mark Cookman (Spurgeon’s 1982), Vipul Patel (Brading’s 1979) and Vince Abel (Brading’s 1974).
In recognition of the win, EAGS Captain Mike Froggatt was presented with the Bob Joyce (Roper’s 1962) trophy by Year 13 student Will.
Many thanks to Jack Maskill and George Thorne (Cribb’s 1960), Honorary Secretary EAGS, for their efforts in organising such a successful day.
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
