Huge congratulations to Luc De Fougerolles (Roper's 2024) who has been named in Canada Soccer Men’s National Team squad for the Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals away-and-home series against Jamaica on 17 and 21 November.
Seventeen-year-old Luc, who earlier this month made his first senior competitive debut for Fulham FC, in which he was named Fulham’s Man of The Match, is showing exceptional promise on the pitch.
Luc, who is of Canadian descent, was called up to the Canada U20 side in April 2022, but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented him from joining the camp. In October 2023 he accepted a call-up to the senior Canada side ahead of a friendly against Japan in Niigata.
The two matches are crucial for the Candian side. The aggregate score winner will join three other nations and advance to the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League Final. A series win will also qualify Canada for the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™.
Both of Canada’s matches will be broadcast live on OneSoccer, available as a linear channel on Telus’ Optik TV (Channel 980) as well as online at OneSoccer.ca, through the OneSoccer app and on the fuboTV Canada platform. Fans will find extended coverage for the matches across Canada Soccer’s digital channels on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube featuring the hashtag #CANMNT. Find out more on the Canada Soccer website here.
Congratulations and best of luck Luc!
