Last Saturday 1 July 2023, we were thrilled to welcome pupils, alumni, teachers, families and local residents for our annual Founder's Day on our school grounds. It was truly a wonderful celebration of what makes Alleyn's special and helped to raise money for charitable projects. The APA Founder's Day Raffle helped raise important funds for The Maudsley Charity, Music as Therapy International and The South London Refugee Association. The Edward Alleyn Club Pimm's Tent helped raise money for the Alleyn Benevolent Fund, which supports Upper School bursaries at Alleyn's and provides assistance to pupils and families who are unable to afford school trips.
As far as the eye could see, there were activities to delight all age groups such as dizzying fairground rides, cricket matches, dog shows and more. We were grateful that so many families travelled sustainably to our school and utilised our Travelling to Alleyn's travel guide, and came to Founder's Day by foot, bicycle or scooter. Throughout the day, all members of staff worked their magic to ensure the day was a success and memorable for all.
We would like to thank them for their contribution to the Alleyn's community and can't wait to welcome you all again next year!
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
