Piano Finals

Monday evening saw the finals of the Piano Prize. Cicely and Gianna prevailed in Classes 1 and 2 respectively, demonstrating real control and maturity in their playing. Class 3 (grade 7 upwards) was a celebration of the instrument in the truest sense, with eleven pianists delighting the audience with breathtaking virtuosity, alongside moments of touching sincerity and poetry that belied both their years and the percussive nature of the piano. Adjudicator Martin Cousin gave wonderful feedback to each performer, but special congratulations on her mesmerising Chopin Polonaise go to our overall winner, Hailey.
