Yesterday the Junior School Dancers took to the MCT stage, wowing audiences with their curriculum and club dance routines! From beautiful lyrical numbers, to up tempo, funky and fun dances, the junior school were bursting with energy and put on a wonderful uplifting performance.

"I am incredibly proud of ALL of the junior school dancers who took part in the show. They worked incredibly hard and have shown a great deal of commitment and motivation throughout both terms. I would also like to make a special mention to class 3P who performed their curriculum dance piece ‘Into the Forest’ as part of the dance show. This class have been working on this dance piece during lesson time and have shown excellent dedication throughout this term. For some, it was their first time on stage. Well done 3P!

And finally, I couldn’t have done the show without the support of  members of staff who helped with costumes and supervision backstage. In particular, I would like to thank Mrs Foley, who has been a constant support with the performing arts in the Junior School. I’d also like to thank my colleague and friend, Miss Layton, who has so wonderfully covered my role in the first term whilst I was covering Maternity as Head if Dance in the Senior School. Miss Layton has been a wonderful addition to the dance team and I know the children have loved her club sessions! Thank you Miss Layton for your creativity, passion and energy!

If you missed the show, there will be a video available soon which will be sent out for you to watch from the comfort of your own homes. We hope you enjoyed the show - here’s to next year!" Ruth Seager, Junior School Dance Coordinator
