On Thursday 24 June, Year 12s took part in the inaugural Alleyn’s Leadership Day.

Through a series of workshops assisted by Future Foundations which delivers pioneering training programmes and experiences for young people between the ages of 7 and 24 and for teachers and adults who want to inspire the next generation, a series of workshops was designed to build leadership, confidence, initiative, teamwork, pro-activity and commitment.

Workshops focussed on self-leadership, different leadership styles, special topics as chosen by students, and team-building tasks out on the School field.

The day encouraged students to take personal responsibility for their own learning, it encouraged students to broaden their perspectives, gain new skills and consider leadership roles. It also prepared them for the transition from Lower to Upper Sixth and successfully learn what type of leader they are.

Thank you at all Year 12s for getting stuck in with the day. We hope it was a valuable and interesting day for all.
