Library staff have been seeing Years 11 and 13 in the library since the return to school, supporting them in their studies during their important exam year, but they haven’t forgotten the other year groups and have been looking forward to welcoming them back to the Library too – or for Year 7s, welcoming them in for the first time!

Preparations have included assembling collections of ‘quick choice’ books that have been released recently and producing genre guides to help pupils choose a good read.

Library staff have been pleased to see such a good turnout, all keen to devour some fresh reading material. For now, each year group has been allotted one weekday so that everyone can stay in their bubbles.

Librarian Esther O’Donnell said:

‘It’s just so lovely having our younger pupils back in the library browsing the shelves and talking to us about books and we can’t wait to see the rest of the year groups as the week goes by.’
