Trinity College London runs an annual competition with Voice Magazine to celebrate achievements in the arts. Named the Trinity Talent Class of 2020, the competition offers prizes for Leadership, Artistic Achievement, and Creative Flair. Orla, who attained a distinction in her Grade 6 piano, was awarded the prize for 'Creative Flair' in classical and jazz music. In addition she was selected as the Youth Choice, a prize awarded by the previous year's winners. The Youth Choice Panel said:

"Orla seems talented in loads of areas of music and experiments! She shares her music online and seems very confident and able. Orla seems really dedicated - by learning notation software - and is always challenging herself. She set herself a very ambitious goal and met it. We love that she performed an original composition at a competition."

The Trinity judges commented:

"It is clear that Orla is creatively self-driven, constantly looking to enhance her own skillset, doesn't see any ceiling to what she can achieve, and puts a lot of emotion behind her music."

In an interview on the Trinity website Orla explained that her passions are writing and music and that she would like to use one or both of these in her future career, and we believe this is a very good start! You can listen to some of Orla’s wonderful compositions here.
