Patently Alleyn's - 13 September 7:00-10:00pm, Alleyn's School

Book here

Patently Alleyn’s is an evening of celebration to mark the 400th anniversary of Edward Alleyn's charitable foundation in Dulwich, the College of God’s Gift. Join us for an evening of high-spirited entertainment inspired by the dazzling era in which Alleyn lived.

You will be royally entertained with a variety of Jacobean-style revelry, from ‘Just a Jacobean Minute’ panel game to a sparkling Masque in the theatre with dance, drama and music performed by Alleyn’s pupils. During the evening you can feast on a Jacobean-themed buffet in the dining hall and as a grand finale to the evening, there will be a magnificent firework display set to music.

All in the School community are welcome, but the event will appeal more to adults and older children. In order to ensure as many members of the Alleyn’s community as possible can attend, tickets are limited to 4 per family/group. If you would like more tickets, please email [email protected], and if any are available nearer the time we will let you know.

Tickets will be sent out in early September with a more detailed itinerary for the evening. Jacobean costume is optional.

Secret Postcards - 3 October, Alleyn's School

As part of Alleyn’s School’s 400 year anniversary, and the 400th Anniversary Campaign: Growing Bursaries for the Future, the Art department together with the Development office have launched a Secret Postcards exhibition that will take place on 3 October, 2019. It will bring together artworks from leading creatives, as well as contributions from talented students, alumni, as well as past and present parents and staff.

The exhibition will display over 400 of these postcard-sized artworks which will be available to purchase at the private view in October, priced at £40.00 each, with buyers only finding out afterwards whose piece(s) they have purchased.

Secret Postcards is just one way for the people of Alleyn’s School to be involved in our 2019 Campaign endeavour to increase bursary provision by 100% over the next decade, in a way that engages the creative energy of current pupils, parents and staff.
