Modern Languages teacher, Astrid Schüller’s ‘favourite Alleyn’s “object” is Room 303, which is my favourite classroom and my tutor group room. I love it because I have many fond memories of teaching some brilliant pupils in there (and some not so brilliant ones who were rather challenging but it would be boring if they were all brilliant!). I have photos and post cards from school trips on the walls and other things that make me smile. It is one of the smaller classrooms and it’s really cosy as it’s under the roof. For me, that room symbolises everything I love about Alleyn’s. The teaching, the learning, the wonderful relationship we have with (most) of our students, the progress they make sitting in that room. It’s where I do a lot of my teaching and where I have a lovely time with my tutees, and, that’s what being a teacher at Alleyn’s is all about after all.’
