School Staff Instructor Steven Hawkins put forward the bugle ‘that was donated to the school by R (Surrey) Battery 265 Light Air Defence Regiment, Royal Artillery in 1966. We have used it since 2008 to present to the best cadet at the end of their Year 11 (Cadet Non-Commissioned Officer course). The recipients of this prestigious award generally move on to take a lead role in the CCF and usually the school also. The reciepient of the award in recent years were, in 2011, Cadet I Kakkar, and in 2012, Cadet J Wilmot. This year, Cadet Kakkar is the Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant in charge of all equipment (many thousands of pounds’ worth) for the who contingent of 231 cadets, and Cadet Wilmot is in charge of a section of the current year 11’s, (15 Pupils).
Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
