Lunchtime Concerts Offer a Musical Oasis

It was heart-warming to see the return of the Foundation Schools’ lunchtime concert series on Wednesday 6 October. Four Alleyn’s pupils performed in the beautiful Christ’s Chapel in Dulwich Village. The programme included paino, oboe, violin and voice pieces. The tranquil surroundings of the chapel and the uplifting performances created a perfect moment of relaxation and calm in an otherwise busy day.

The Foundation Schools Concert Series is a musical collaboration between Alleyn’s School, Dulwich College and Jags, and is made possible by the support of the Dulwich Picture Gallery. It was wonderful to hear our young musicians perform again after a long pause due to Covid-19. We look forward to many more in the coming year.
