Our Lower School debaters took to the floor in a display of dramatic, passionate and unwavering debate.
Arguments from the explosively controversial to the merely bombastic were exchanged as debaters fought to win the vote from their classmates. In floor debates the audience showed that they had listened carefully, winning points for their forms with their ideas. The motions ranged from the sublime (where we should go on holiday), to the ridiculous - with a Harry Potter inspired motion (the Ministry of Magic legislating to make the use of the ‘Cruciatus’ curse forgivable).
Overall winners will be announced at a later date, but there were many stand-out performances this year.

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
