Deniz, a vibrant Year 10 pupil, started her journey with the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in Year 9, aligning herself with the Royal Air Force (RAF) division. With her second Adventure Training experience underway, her commitment to personal and leadership development is obvious.

Motivated by wanting to pursue enriching extracurricular activities alongside her friends, Deniz found the CCF to be an ideal way to spend her time after school. Recognising the importance of leadership skills, Deniz eagerly embraced the opportunities within the CCF.

Cadets are expected to don the uniform and show up week in week out, meaning Deniz has refined her organisation skills, with the drill exercises instilling a sense of coordination and teamwork.

Beyond the physical, Deniz also finds benefit from the academic aspect of the CCF – learning about the intricacies of aviation such as aircraft physics and engine mechanics.

Active participation in Model United Nations (MUN) further highlights her engagement with activities outside of the classroom. Attending conferences regularly and contributing to discussions, Deniz showcases a dedication to both personal growth and global awareness. With involvement in events including the Epsom MUN and the recent Alleyn’s MUN highlight her commitment to diplomacy and debate.

Throughout Adventure Training, Deniz’s enthusiasm and proactive approach has shone. Her poised demeanor marks her as a natural leader, eager to make meaningful contributions both within the CCF and beyond. As she continues to embrace challenges and expand her horizons, Deniz is certainly positioned for success in her future endeavours.
