St. Barnabas Church has been echoing with the enchanting sounds of Christmas carols this week.

On Wednesday, lower and middle school pupils united at the church to be immersed in a delightful Christmas programme. The air was filled with joy and festive cheer as the young voices blended in harmony.

Thursday night marked the height of Alleyn’s Christmas tradition, as the annual Carol Service unfolded. Bathed in the soft glow of candlelight, a warm and magical ambiance was revealed, as members from the Alleyn’s community, students, parents and alumni gathered to partake in the timeless tradition of readings and music.

‘Our Carol services are a particular highlight for many within the school community. It is an opportunity to gather together, in the beauty of candlelight, to reflect once again on the age-old story of God's love and peace.’ - Reverend Liz Lander, School Chaplain.

The service provided a beautiful opportunity for the Alleyn’s community to join in reflecting on the true spirit of Christmas before breaking up for the Advent term.

As we bid farewell to 2023 and look forward to a new year, may the Spirit of Alleyn’s linger in our hearts, spreading joy and goodwill to all over the festive period.
