Our Model United Nations delegates are looking forward to the much-anticipated conference at Lingfield College this weekend. The event promises to provide a platform for students to engage in diplomatic debates on pressing global issues.

Dr. Greetham, who leads Alleyn’s MUN, hopes that pupils will have fun debating a variety of geopolitical issues and a time of heightened geopolitical tensions in the world.

‘The idea of the MUN is that pupils develop skills like oracy, written communication, teamwork, negotiation, listening skills and diplomacy. This will help them to prepare for Alleyn’s International MUN in February, and for PORGMUN 2024 in Prague in March’ - Dr. Greetham.

MUN is a testament to the passion and intellect of young individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the world. The insightful debates held in various conferences showcase the potential of these future leaders to tackle global issues with dedication and creativity.

Saturday’s conference schedule delivers a whole day of insightful discussions, strategic negotiations, and collaborative problem-solving, all another fantastic opportunity for students from different schools to come together and discuss significant issues that are playing out across the world.
