Hannah Read-Baldrey's (Brading's 1998) latest book, Couture Craft Gifts: Luxury Handmade Presents without the Price Tag is published in hardback and on Kindle on 16 July by David & Charles.
Hannah's aim for the book is to provide a treasure trove of crafting and gift ideas that readers can refer to through the years. Couture Craft Gifts provides practical step-by-step tips and a range of ideas that are suitable for weddings and birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas. It includes suggestions for gifts from luxury soy wax candles to handmade paper flowers, and from personalised house portraits to a delicious bunch of roses cookies.
A stylist, craft expert and successful entrepreneur, Hannah is the Creative Director and Co-founder of crafting business MakeBox & Co, which she runs with husband Brendan, so certainly knows a thing or two about making things by hand. She is also the author of Flowerbomb!: 25 beautiful craft projects to blow your blossoms, Everything Alice, Everything Oz and 2013's Girls' Night In.

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
