The Science and DT departments recently donated supplies including different types of protective goggles and safety specs, plastic aprons and masks to the NHS South East London Commissioning Alliance (Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark CCGs).

Head of Design & Technology, Philip Saville, also disclosed that the department is preparing to prototype a face-shield which will go into production* in the coming days.

We are so pleased to have been able to support the NHS in its invaluable work, and look forward to continuing to do so, whilst observing social distancing guidelines, as efforts against the coronavirus pandemic continue.

In the meantime, our remote learning journey continues, and our site is closed to all except key staff and the children from our key worker families.

Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives.

* The manufacture and supply of face-shields by Alleyn’s School is by request from specific NHS Trusts and NHS Hospitals in immediate need of specific PPE products during the coronavirus pandemic. These recipients are fully aware that the products are manufactured in conditions which in some ways may not meet NHS or BSI standards and use and treat the products accordingly.
