The School community was excited to launch the All@Alleyn's programme of events on Tuesday 22 January.
Senior Deputy Head Andy Skinnard delivered the inaugural lecture, 1619: A World of Ideas. Under the phrase "Knowledge is Power", attributed to Francis Bacon, Mr Skinnard explored the world of ideas that flourished during the seventeenth century.
Despite inclement weather, we were delighted to welcome local residents, community partners, staff and pupils to the lecture. A number of events will follow throughout 2019; from talks on Shakespeare to Pasta-making Workshops.
The All@Alleyn's series forms part of Alleyn's commemorations of the 400th anniversary of Edward Alleyn's foundation of his College of God's Gift, back in 1619.

Junior School Open Day
The next Alleyn's Junior School Open Event is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024. There will be a Head's Talk at 1.40pm after which you will be offered a tour of the school with a pupil. There is no need to book a place at this Open Event - everyone is welcome.
