Advancing Alleyn’s 400th Anniversary Renewal Programme
In October 2012 "Townley's Transformation" celebrated residing in Townley Road for 125 years. The School has plans to improve and expand our facilities to deliver a first class 21st-century education for our pupils. This entails a major re-development of the North side of the School site over a three-phase, 10-year period and will include:
• The expansion of the Library into the former Sixth Form Centre and the provision of a dedicated Archive space;
• The replacement of the current Dining Hall with a modern complex including new teaching and office spaces;
• The replacement of the Lower School building to create 12 modern classrooms in an attractive, light and energy-efficient building.
The School has engaged Tim Ronalds Architects in relation to the main building works and an artist’s impression of the completed building is set out below.
